Mark Goodwin, PE, President
As a second-generation New Mexican, Mr. Goodwin was born and raised in Albuquerque. He graduated from West Mesa High School in 1972 and the University of New Mexico in 1979. He has been a Registered Professional Engineer since 1984 and is the Owner and President of MGA.
Mark has extensive experience in project planning, design, coordination, management, and construction observation for a variety of civil engineering assignments.
His experience includes projects involving highways, streets, access and haul roads, airport design, bridge design, master plans, drainage, water and wastewater systems and facilities.

Diane Hoelzer, PE, Senior Engineer
Diane Hoelzer graduated with her BS in Environment Engineering from the University of Florida in 1980 and earned her Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University in 1987.
Diane joined the MGA team in 1996, bringing extensive technical experience in grading and drainage plans, preliminary and final plats, construction plan design for water, sanitary sewer, storm drain and roads.

Hiram Crook, EI, MRCP, Staff Engineer
Hiram Crook joined the MGA team in 2014. He received his BS in Civil Engineering and Master’s in Community & Regional Planning, both from the University of New Mexico.
With over 20 years’ experience, he has formed a diverse background involving projects in roadway design, site development, and traffic analysis.

Kay Brashear, Office Manager
Kay Brashear earned her Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Wayland Baptist University in 2004 and joined the MGA team as Office Manager in 2010.
She came to the firm with experience in A/P, A/R, Payroll, and helps oversee the day-to-day administration of the office.

Laverne Lucero, Administrator
Laverne has worked as an administrator for over 20 years and joined the MGA team in 2019.
With her attention to detail, organizing skills, and eagerness to work hard she is a great asset to the team.
